Method & limitations
The solver searches balanced combinations using your available pairs. It chooses the closest load at or below target by default. Optional nearest mode can go above target and explicitly says so; equal-distance ties choose the lower load. Within the same load, it prefers fewer plates. Stock is never exceeded. Plate sizes support two decimal places; target, bar and combined collars support six. The calculation does not check sleeve length, bar capacity or equipment condition.
Displayed values are rounded to at most six decimal places unless otherwise noted. Plate totals are calculated from your entered equipment, not from rounded display values.
Software limits are input guardrails, not a declaration that a load is safe for you. Stop for pain; do not chase a number at the expense of technique.
